Signed and sealed by the grantor, witnessed by the Mayor, Sheriff and Bailiffs of Southampton, and bearing the official seal (partly defective) of the Mayor of Southampton, on account of the unfamiliarity of the grantor’s own seal.

Two seals are attached. The grantor's seal is a PS monogram. The official seal of the Mayor of Southampton (partly defective) is also attached on account of the unfamiliarity of the grantor's own seal. This seal depicts a ship at sea with stars, moon and sun in the background.
